The ʔaq̓am Administration Department works to strengthen organizational capacity, enhance service delivery, and advance the community’s long-term vision outlined in Ka Kniⱡwi·tiyaⱡa (Our Thinking). Guided by community values and strategic priorities, Administration works collaboratively across departments to support effective governance, operational excellence, and transparent engagement with community members.
Administration provides leadership and coordination across departments, programs and services, fostering greater integration, accountability, and responsiveness to community needs. Efforts focus on strengthening systems, improving communications, and building a strong and resilient workforce.
With the recent development of a dedicated Governance department, Administration also plays an important role in advancing self-governance initiatives and supporting community-led decision-making processes. Through ongoing collaboration with Chief and Council, staff, and community members, Administration helped create opportunities for meaningful participation and informed planning. )
Continued investments in communication, policy development, and organizational effectiveness have positioned ʔaq̓am to meet current priorities while preparing for future opportunities.
