The ʔaq̓am Facilities & Infrastructure Department plays a key role in supporting the health, safety, sustainability, and daily operations of the community. Our work focuses on maintaining and improving community infrastructure, housing, operations, emergency management, health and safety, and long-term development initiatives that support future generations. Community engagement is a priority through ongoing discussions related to housing development projects and other infrastructure initiatives aimed at supporting sustainable growth and housing opportunities within ʔaq̓am. Beyond capital projects, the department serves as the heart of daily operations by supporting community and school events through setup, logistics, maintenance, and operational coordination. We work closely with leadership, staff, contractors, and community members to ensure facilities and infrastructure continue to support the needs of the community today while planning responsibly for the future in alignment with Ka Kniⱡwitiyaⱡa.
