Mainroad EK Contracting LP is granted access to ʔaq̓am lands forming Kootenay IR 1 for the purposes of Mission Road and Mission Wasa Low Road maintenance activites. The intended scope of work includes a couple of tree removals, some brush cutting, ditch work as well as culvert flow restoration in several specific spots on Kootenay IR #1
Mainroad’s crew will be on ʔaq̓am reserve lands scheduled for Thursday, August 6th, 2026 at 8:30 AM (MT) to 4:30 PM (MT). Traffic control measures with flaggers will be taken to ensure access is provided through their work zone for community members and IR 1 approved users.
