BC Hydro and Asplundh Canada is granted access to ʔaq̓am lands forming Kootenay IR 1 for the purposes of hazard tree removal along the transmission line right of way throughout the 2023 wildfire area. BC Hydro and Asplundh Canada will be on ʔaq̓am lands from Aug 31 – Sept 4, 2026
